New untitled project…
Added 2024-08-01 20:49:41 +0000 UTCHey big bugs and little bugs, half post half blog update! I took the first step in drawing a new long project I’ve been turning over in my mind for some time now. My other long piece, Rottingwood, has been pressure cooking for months, tweaking storylines, characters, world building. I’m really excited to hit the ground running with that project. I created a pitch deck and have been trying to get it in front of some publishers, because it’s a big story and something I want to deliver in as “refined” a form as possible.
This project (untitled) I’m making a decision to just start drawing, and see where it leads. I might try releasing it in short episodic issues instead of one behemoth of a story. Attached is the first page as a sample, which I just drew today. Our main character will be communicating with his buddy, summoning him from the underworld by drawing his face in the fog on the glass. Anyway I have the first fire pages thumbnailed so I’ll update you guys as I go along.
Also!! Unrelated but early tomorrow morning I am flying out to Detroit for the first ever Webcomicon, hosted by Nick Seluk of the Awkward Yeti and Sarah Andersen of Sarah’s Scribbles. There’s a ton of really popular and funny webcomic artists who are gonna be there and it’s honestly crazy I got the invite. I can’t wait and I’ll tell you guys all about it when I am back.
