Gonna try a new naming convention on the patreon. Instead of naming these with the dates like I’ve been doing, I’ll give them an actual title and then use this space to give you some behind the scenes on my process with these comics.
Really fun one to draw here. Tried to keep attention to detail with the flora looking prehistoric above water. Also tried some new shading techniques on the riverbed. Hardest part of this piece was settling on a face for the absolutely gagged Tiktaalik on the bottom left. Sometimes I use my own face as a reference when I need a specific funny expression but it was impossible in this case to fit my face over the shape of this creatures head. Had to wing it but I’m happy with the results. Love you talk soon!
