Sketching Process

I forgot to record this lmao

But to break it down:

Image 1:

- I like to establish the defining features of the subject that I am drawing. In this case it was a FF14 character for a commission. This character has his blind fold, puffy sleeves, arm guards, and his badonka donkers. This helps me with refining the details for the refined sketch. Along with other details, like his pants, I essentially do the same thing I did for the torso. Knee guards, and his tunic belt...thing...CD holder. I rough out the details to establish the basic shape and details.

Image 2:

- I refine the details. I try not to be too precious with this stage because this is to focus more on the finer details. Especially in his arm guards, belt, and knee guards.

Image 3:

- Now I can really go ham. I focus on the details making them as clean as possible. With my style I do like to keep some things sketchy but I don't really have a method, I just kinda go with what feels right. And I adjust proportions a bit, since this character is buff and has bulky armor, I want him to feel more strong and stable.

If you guys want a video of armor and stuff feel free to let me know!!
