Our Life 2: Type-In Feature Update

Shawna implemented a very fancy new way of letting people add their own information into the story and now it'll be possible to input more complicated details we couldn't add using the normal choices/flag system ✨
The prologue will be updated to allow you to determine exactly where you moved from, your race, and your nationality heritage! You can't talk about it with the other characters then, however Moments will be written with this feature in mind. So scenes are going to come up eventually where you can share with Tamarack and Qiu your own culture or let them know your family comes from the same place as one of them.
And this feature will be used for various other things, too.

This was a nice feature. Especially since the previous OL had talked about the ethnicity of Lizzie but not the MC. I hope there’s more inclusivity in the future, like being on the asexual/ace spectrum, clothing preference, and maybe even allergies!

It just those options, nothing more. It's the extra steps, the typing in every little thing. OL1 have like two or three that I can remember but those were for simple things, like fav flower or what instrument you played. OL2 is becoming a bit too complicated for my liking but I understand you want to make OL2 better and different from OL1. I guess I just want to play the game itself without thinking too much about every little detail of my MCs. That what make OL1 fun and enjoyable to me. Just use the preset options in front of me and not have to come up with my own beside like one or two type in your own answer once in a huge while.

Unless you're going to be automating capitalization (or decapsing) as necessary, it's frustrating to get into a scene and type, say, 'Purple' as a favourite color, and then every time it ever comes up mid sentence it now is capitalized. It's an easy mistake for a writer to make and a *pain* to go back and fix up later.

I gravitate toward writing mixed race characters, as I'm multiracial. Whether it's a simple feature or more complex, I'll be very happy when this feature is implemented. Thank you for always giving us more ways to express ourselves and our MCs! ❤️

My brain just shut down if I have too many option. This is one of the reason I stop watching TV/don't bother with streaming. You know how Cove get into his head and start to over think about everything when cause him to get upset with himself...? Same thing but I don't get upset. I get down on myself and I don't want to play a game that make me get down on myself. I understand I can pick not to deal with this but maybe you can make it part of the config option, you can turn it on and off. Just an idea but do understand if that can't happened right now.

For example, maybe your MC is Asian racially, but your extended family mostly comes from Germany and you'd like both of those to be noted. I don't know all the times and places where those details will come up, but it's something worth acknowledging just in general.
