2025-10-22 08:02:28 +0000 UTCTop notch episode. I have a lot of misgivings about Angel as a show, but some episodes are really excellent. Specially those written by Tim Minear. Great end to the resurrected Darla arc. A lot of symbolic imagery in it. I consider Holtz an antagonist, not a villain.

2025-09-05 10:20:51 +0000 UTCThis episode was good but it hurt. It did a good job of helping people that aren't familiar with the trope that a vampire/person without a soul isn't the same being. It's like them with everything heightened without any sort of inhibitions or morals. They immediately become the most self centered sort of psychopaths. A great react, man.

2025-09-05 08:15:44 +0000 UTCOn the DVD commentary for this fantastic ep, writer/director Tim Minear said he got some criticism for Lilah's line "They don't crucify here. It's too Christian.", as crucifixion was mainly a Roman practice, not Christian. I think the idea comes across nonetheless.
