The show has already gotten darker this season but this is def the point where it officially goes mask off. Alot of it is because the network change and time slot allowed them to do so. They were already pushing it on the wb but a lot was going under the radar. I know the Spike scene was awful (James was traumatized filming this and he had to get therapy for it. It really fucked him up and I get it in retrospect why the scene is there but bts stuff like this makes it so not worth it.) Even though this is a plot point alot of the fandom hates, it does have a purpose and it won’t be swept under the rug and i feel like it’s handled better than I remember, especially for the early 00’s but it is a sore spot for the fandom, no matter who you ship. Otherwise this was a crazy ep but very bittersweet.

Vampirella's costume was actually designed by the late Trina Robbins, a sex positive feminist and legendary comic artist and writer. She worked on underground feminist comics, including Wimmen's Comix, It Ain't Me Babe, and Tits and Clits comix, and then went on to become the first female artist to draw Wonder Woman for DC comics. Vampirella is my favourite ever comic book character, I spent more than 35 years completing a full run of the original Warren Publication editions, all 112 issues. That collection is my absolute pride and joy.
