Regarding Tara's death, Amber Benson had this to say in 2022: Speaking with author Evan Katz for his new book, Into Every Generation a Slayer Is Born: How Buffy Staked Our Hearts, Benson said: “This is the first time I’m talking about this. I had had some issues with somebody on the show, and it had kind of come to a head as I was getting ready to leave. “Leaving the show was sad because there are some of the crew and the writers and some of the cast that I just adore, but I had made my peace with that person and the show and I was done"

Grave is definitely one of my top 3 season finales just for how emotional and sad it is but also positive and uplifting in the end; that's what makes it better than last seasons finale which ended on such a somber note. Season 6 also ends on a doozy of a cliffhanger, probably the biggest in the series with Spike getting his soul back. I love this season so much and think it has a great arc (even though we lost Tara who is sorely missed), aged well thematically because it's the most relevant to real adult life. Looking forward to seeing your reactions to Spikes development in season 7...
