Yes, Eleanor tried to persuade Captain Bryson to leave his 12 cannons behind but he legged it without leaving them. So they chased him down. They need them to take on the Urca!

2019-08-18 19:31:13 +0000 UTCthey are not after the gold right now. flint is after the ship because it has the guns he needs to attack the spanish treasure ship "urca de lima" and because captain bryson knows about all the shit thats happening on the island.so we are still preparing to go after the urca gold. but episode 5 is where the show gets better and better. and in season 2 you get alot more information about flint and his story. you gonna enjoy it!!
