Ever-present danger that lies in the shadows

Beneath Thalamra Vanthampur’s villa lies a hidden dungeon complex, filled with the stench of evil rituals and cultist activity. Despite being part of the city’s sewers, the tunnels are eerily clean and well-kept, thanks to regular rituals performed by Zariel’s followers. A pervasive sense of dread lingers in the air, intensified by the thick incense used to cover the natural stench of the sewers. The cultists, dressed in devilish masks and carrying censers of burning incense, patrol the tunnels regularly. Dangerous fiends such as spined devils, bearded devils, and a powerful barbed devil named Odious lurk within the dungeon, ever ready to strike down intruders. Secret doors hide treacherous paths, while iron gates and doors bar entry to deeper levels, forcing players to think critically and move cautiously.

Threats and Atmosphere: The oppressive darkness, broken only by the flickering greenish glow of lanterns, creates an atmosphere of constant tension. The scent of incense masks not only the sewers' smell but also the ever-present danger that lies in the shadows. Cultists and devils move silently through the corridors, and every turn could reveal a deadly encounter. The entire complex feels like a twisted temple, dedicated to Zariel’s corrupting influence, where danger lurks behind every door and fiendish rituals fuel the dark energy in the air.

New Quality Standard: We’ve introduced a new and improved rendering method, which will enable even higher quality with even smaller file sizes in the future.

The Largest Animated Map on the Internet: The entire dungeon is on a single map! The video in its HQ version has a resolution of 6800 x 4200 px with a file size of only around 60 MB! These technical innovations will be incredibly useful in future maps and further establish Beneos as the quality standard for animated battlemaps.

Ambiences for Everyone! Every new release will include a high-quality, in-house produced ambient audio track for each map. These tracks are approximately 15 minutes long and available for every tier. Normally, it’s impossible to add external tracks to playlists, which would make creating a large ambience playlist challenging. We’ve worked on this issue with Scene Packer developer Blair, and we’ll soon have a convenient solution. This means we’ll finally have immersive ambient sounds in Sceneries as well. Please understand that we won’t be able to update all older releases (2500+ scenes) with ambient tracks right away, but we’ll be adding them gradually.

Additionally, users should take breaks regularly while playing, play in a well-lit room, and avoid playing if they are feeling fatigued or have had little sleep, as this can increase the risk of a seizure.

Age Rating Information

Our content at Beneos Battlemaps and Sceneries has not been rated by any public rating board. However, we strive to create content that refrains from glorifying violence and brutality. While our fantasy adventure maps may contain traces of violence or depict grotesque creatures, these elements are not the focal point of our creations. In the spirit of fostering a safe and inclusive gaming environment, we self-rate our content and suggest it is suitable for users aged 12 and up. We recommend that parents review the maps themselves or adhere to our general age recommendation to determine if the content is appropriate for their children.
