I was reminded of the Hermit. Necessarily, some object had to be the lantern. But Prince's escapism into himself was also motivated by a veiledness, a suspension, a period of suffering. Cocooning, dissolving before a reformation. I kept the colours cool and let my intuition do the rest. The character is turned away from the viewer and covered. He is hiding. A little ghostly. I'm not sure what i feel. I'm not sure if the pink might not be a hint of rawness. I was definitely touched to hear that I managed to gauge the vibe correctly.
