I began working on iPad in Webbypaint without much of an underdrawing, and most of my remaining time was spent transforming it again and again over the course of several weeks to try and find better colours, a better composition, better shapes. In some ways I feel like this diminished my confidence, but I still enjoyed the process and the end result. Thanks for your patience Noi!
Noiraak is a hobby equestrian. I like to draw felkins more on the horsey side, and Noi and me sometimes talk about horses. They're silly :) I wanted to let this joy that I feel about the topic influence my choice of colours and shapes, and show a happy felk. It's pretty straightforward, but I think it might have been this happiness and simplicity that made this portrait so sticky to work with during a time in recent weeks when I have been dealing with diminishing energy and increasing anxiety. I hope that letting go of it can mean letting go of my obsessive search for impending catastrophe hah.
