MagicaCSG: Scattering Media

There will be a new Media material property for each object in the next update.
the density controls the density of scattering. if it's zero, then it's as transparent as the previous glass material.
the phase controls the distribution of the scattering directions (forward, backward, or uniform).
the color controls the scattering color. you may set the object surface color to pure while, so the color is totally dependent on the scattering color.

2023-02-12 14:37:05 +0000 UTCI've seen this asked often (and wondered it myself.) I think the answer on composite group strokes is that it would be too complicated to calculate? This program doesn't use standard modelling with polygons.

I ask because i was thinking to teach some beginners to model with it and make some small contest to encourage them to use it. But now I see that the old one is gone from the website. And Blender is a bit overwhelming.

Is there a technical possibility to do: - combine the strokes into a group and use this group (folder) as a trim mask for other stroke and strokes group. - assign a stroke as a plane of symmetry for another strokes(strokes group) in the same object. - assign a stroke as a point of the object coordinate system. - combining objects into groups.

2023-02-07 06:30:18 +0000 UTCCan we have some option to lock the camera so that we can modify the objects and render different instances? A batch render would be cool to have for Game designers. If I want to render 10 swords with slightly different variations of color or shape would be life saving and this will get adopted like crazy. One idea I had was to have at the rendering UI tab some fields on objects that we can set as variable, for example to randomise them for 10 renderings in a row. This was maybe somehow already done with the 360 export feature, but this time is fixed the camera, and only the object changes. I would kill for something like this :)

2022-12-25 16:21:50 +0000 UTCIt looks beautiful. Is there a way to export PLY shapes merged together? I currently have the objects on separate layers to keep objects manageable. But on export it would be nice to be able to have an option to lump the entire project together as one mesh. I do miss the turntable rendering feature.
