War Camp
Added 2023-09-03 21:01:34 +0000 UTCOur next map features a war camp built on a rocky slope. A palisade wall encompasses the camp, with various lookout towers lining it. Along the base of the hill, trenches were dug and lined with sharpened wood spikes to provide extra defense. The camp features numerous tents for sleeping soldiers as well as slightly larger tents for officers. Braziers and small fires are dotted throughout the camp to provide light and warmth.
The large striped tent near the south entrance acts as a dining hall and meeting area for common soldiers. Outside is a fire pit roasting wild boar found in the area. There also are cages found nearby that hold creatures such as hounds that go out on patrols. North of the dining hall, perched on a rocky outcrop, is a gray tent that stores more other foodstuff along with tables for preparing meals for the officers. Just further up the path, an infirmary can be found caring for wounded soldiers. A larger medicine tent is found protecting valuable herbs, potions, and salves used for treatments.
By the west entrance, there are feeding troughs for horses utilized during patrols and moving cargo; in an emergency, they are used by officers to flee. Above the horses within the large red tent is a blacksmith. Weapons, armor, tools, and smithing components are stored inside. Outside of the tent are the forge, grindstone, and workbenches. Continuing north along the path leads to a combat area for practicing melee and archery.
At the center of camp within an secondary palisade wall is the command tent. Here, the highest officers devise their strategies. Valuable loot may also be found within these walls!
