Chapter 161: [All Gate] (Second Update)

Thor didn’t know much about Atreus, and if it weren’t for his treacherous brother suddenly "dying," he might have felt grateful towards Atreus right now. But in this moment, Thor couldn’t feel happy.
The culprit who hurt their mother was dead, but at the cost of a good brother. Was it worth it?
Thor rushed over, holding Loki’s increasingly cold body, trembling, unsure of what to say. After a long moment, he finally squeezed out, "I’ll tell Father about your bravery."
"I didn’t do it for him…" Loki muttered. His handsome face began to crack. He was never truly an Asgardian; he was a Frost Giant child Odin had found and taken in. Thanks to powerful magic, he was able to maintain his Asgardian appearance.
Even after the incident with Laufey, Frost Giant king, Loki still preferred his human form.
But now, with his ‘death,’ his body resembled that of a Frost Giant disintegrating after death...
To be fair, Loki looked an awful lot like a joker from a deck of cards.
Yeah, bro, your ID and photocopy look just like this.
Atreus had to admit, Loki deserved his title as the best actor in Asgard. He managed to fool Thor and even trick Odin.
To be honest, at least when it came to overthrowing Odin, Atreus and Loki shared a common goal, or rather, a common interest.
Odin had maintained the balance of the Nine Realms, but through sheer strength and dominance. Atreus knew the Ancient One likely didn’t have much time left, and he didn’t want Odin sticking around either.
It wasn’t impossible that if Odin stayed, he might invade Earth and turn it into a true Asgardian territory.
This was the departure of an older generation of powerhouses, and Atreus had no intention of defying fate to stop it.
Watching Thor in grief, and then looking at Jane, unsure whether she should comfort Thor, Atreus quietly said, "I’ll deal with Malekith first."
At this moment, Malekith was already locked in battle with Frigga, Wonder Woman, and Queen.
Indeed, power of the Aether (Reality Stone) was terrifying, but Malekith’s skill level was clearly lacking. The crimson wave of particles he summoned failed to overwhelm the trio of immensely powerful female heroes.
Faora, being a Kryptonian, was naturally durable and tough.
The other duo, aunt and niece, were brimming with divine power.
This power, passed down from Olympus, was great at resisting the corruption of "reality."
The Reality Stone might be the most powerful of the Infinity Stones, but also the hardest to wield.
With it, people could fulfill any dream. All laws of science and nature were meaningless before it, as it could rewrite any rules. But it couldn’t be used alone; without the help of the other stones, it would fulfill the wielder's desires through destruction.
Its power was based on the user.
Clearly, Malekith wasn’t a strong enough user.
He thought possessing the Aether would allow him to turn the entire universe into the dark world beloved by Dark Elves, but he had Dormammu’s ambitions without Dormammu’s strength.
When he tried to use the alignment of the Nine Realms to drive "reality" into invading them, he was shocked to find that he couldn’t deal with the three women in front of him with his remaining power.
"No! Impossible! The Aether is invincible!" Malekith wildly swung his arms, creating red tornadoes, trying to kill the two women on the chariot.
But Poseidon’s gifted steeds continued to gallop, breaking through the crimson barriers with their blue glow, while Wonder Woman fired divine arrows relentlessly.
Combined with Frigga’s charge, Malekith felt the frustration of trying to fight four hands with two fists.
Seeing this, Atreus felt confident.
Because his power had once again been upgraded to an epic level.
A glance at the system pop-up revealed a prominent message:
"Congratulations to the host for successfully killing Dark Elf warrior Algrim (in Cursed Warrior form)!"
"After purifying and reclaiming his corrupted soul, the host's attributes have increased to: Strength 333 points, Endurance 381 points, Will 162 points!"
Algrim had burned all his remaining life and soul to push his strength and endurance to at least double Thor’s level. If Atreus had taken all this power, he might have surpassed Thor.
Unfortunately, the cursed soul couldn’t be perfectly converted back, not even by the system.
"Host's Fire Element Control has been upgraded to Level 42!"
"Host's Fire Element Skill (Lava Fist) upgraded to Level 31!"
"Host has acquired the Fire Element Skill (Lava Armor) Level 12: The host can accumulate fire elements on the skin, adding 200 armor points, with a moderate chance of reducing r4nged damage taken, and reflecting 250 fire damage to any melee attackers."
Seeing this, Atreus thought, isn’t this just like the modern tank’s explosive reactive armor on Earth?
It really hit the mark with the saying, "If you equip everything with explosive reactive armor, it’ll just backfire."
If any of his weaker girls jumped on him while he had Lava Armor activated, wouldn’t they instantly become ‘mature’ women?
Still, new skills are always welcome.
No surprise, it was by using Thor as a punching bag that Atreus managed to kill this incredibly powerful Cursed Warrior, likely the strongest one ever, and claim this huge prize.
At this moment, Atreus’s heart was pounding with excitement.
Logically, having captured the Dark Elves’ mothership and the strongest Cursed Warrior, Atreus should be satisfied.
But he wouldn’t let Malekith off the hook.
Why? Just to see what skills Malekith would give him.
Was he greedy?
Absolutely, and it was fine!
Many times, greed is the driving force behind human progress.
Having come this far, Atreus wouldn’t leave without taking every bit of loot.
It’s like returning to his own villa, knowing that the next step would take him to the "Western District," and knowing that whatever he chose would end in "all," he still wanted to shout from the bottom of his heart—"I want it all!"
Perhaps that’s the allure of the "All Gate!"
Of course, on the surface, Atreus remained righteous, exuding an aura of dominance.
In the image of the mighty Kratos, he delivered the most savage words!
"Malekith! Now you’ll see—whoever dares to destroy Earth, I’ll tear them to pieces!"
Not just the women by Atreus’s side, but even the grieving Thor and the somewhat confused Jane were deeply moved at that moment.
Yes! Despite his grief for his brother’s death, Thor hadn’t forgotten his duty as the next King of Asgard. He stood up as well.
