"But that’s alright, now they’ll present me with an even more exciting battle."

"Next up, from the Hidden Cloud Village, the ninja duo: Killer Bee and Yugito Nii!"

"From their previous battles, you should’ve noticed they’re both Devil Fruit users."

"Their strength is obviously immense, and their opponents are the most mysterious Devil Fruit users in our colosseum."

"Trafalgar Law! Both teams are newcomers to the arena, but their power is surprising."

The announcer’s shout was met with a wave of roars as the colosseum’s atmosphere grew more intense.

The audience had witnessed eight teams compete, and now only two remained.

However, those who had bet on Killer Bee went pale and collapsed. His defeat was almost certain now.

In the end, they were knocked out of the ring by Trafalgar Law, and the Heart Pirates were crowned champions!

The announcer didn’t say much, handing over the prize to Trafalgar Law, and the crowd began to disperse as the day’s matches came to an end. Although there were still some battles left, none were as exciting as the ones between the eight teams.

As Trafalgar Law was leaving the colosseum, he was suddenly stopped.

Facing him were three large men, and his heart raced into his throat.

Two of them were legendary Marines, and the third was a current Marine Admiral!

Trafalgar Law’s palms began to sweat.

“Marines? Are you planning to make a move in Dressrosa?”

Trafalgar Law calmed himself down, looking at the three figures in front of him. The pressure they emitted alone made him feel powerless to act.

Garp scoffed, glancing at Trafalgar Law.

This kid was as skinny as a twig, lacking the strength his grandsons had gained from years of rigorous training. Could this kid really compare to his grandsons? There was no comparison!

“Kid, what’s the point of wandering the seas as a pirate?” Zephyr said with a hearty laugh. “I’ve started a school here. Let me train you to become the finest Marine.”

Though Zephyr spoke of the Marines, he knew that only about ten percent of his students would actually choose to join the Marines. The rest might become allies within the Marines from inside Dressrosa. But Zephyr felt this was his students’ choice, and he didn’t need to interfere.

Besides, Uchiha Raijin had to recoup some costs, right?

“Sorry, I’m not interested,” Trafalgar Law said as he walked past them with his head down. He had no interest in becoming a Marine at all!

“You can think about it. If you change your mind, come to the palace to report in,” Zephyr said, not particularly surprised.

After all, these kids from the sea were wild and untamed. He had only been struck by a momentary feeling of admiration.

“Zephyr-sensei, you’re pretty relaxed about recruiting here,” Kuzan commented in surprise.

However, after only a few steps, they were stopped again by another group.

“Trafalgar D. Water Law, Lord Raijin wishes to see you,” the captain of the Uchiha Police Force said, addressing him by his full name.

Trafalgar Law’s head shot up in surprise. He hadn’t heard that name in a long time.

Since joining the Donquixote Family, he had hidden his middle name, and no one had known his true identity or background for years.

But now, someone had brought it up again.

Uchiha Raijin!

Trafalgar Law’s gaze sharpened.

He had been planning to meet the man who defeated Doflamingo anyway.

“Let’s go,” he said, not refusing, as he followed the captain of the Uchiha Police Force.

They headed straight for the palace, which was eerily quiet, with barely any guards in sight.

This was Uchiha Raijin’s arrangement! Given his power, he no longer needed much protection himself. Only his queens required such security.

As Trafalgar Law and Bepo walked a few steps, they were stopped again.

“No pets allowed!” said an Uchiha clan member, glancing at Bepo.

Bringing a pet into the palace was a sign of disrespect toward Uchiha Raijin.

“…Bepo, wait here,” Trafalgar Law said after a moment of silence, turning to explain to Bepo.

He had always treated Bepo as family, but out on the seas, everyone viewed Bepo as nothing more than a pet. No matter how much he explained, it wouldn’t change that.

“Captain!” Bepo squatted dejectedly, hugging his knees, feeling the darkness of the world. They were from the Mink Tribe, not pets! The Mink Tribe could be sold on the high seas for…

Trafalgar Law entered the palace, which was surprisingly modest in its decorations.

At one of the tables sat a man who was scrutinizing him.

Trafalgar Law immediately recognized him.

“Law! I’ll just call you that,” Raijin began. “I didn’t expect a survivor of the Donquixote Family to appear in Dressrosa.

“It makes me curious—what are you doing here at this moment?

“Are you planning to avenge Doflamingo?

“Though it doesn’t seem like you have the resolve for revenge.” Raijin’s gaze remained fixed on Trafalgar Law as he spoke.

“Don’t misunderstand. I’m not here to avenge him,” Trafalgar Law replied coldly.

“You know my real name, so you should also know the truth between us. I have a personal vendetta against that man. I was planning to kill him myself, but you beat me to it. I came to see what kind of man could defeat Doflamingo.”

Trafalgar Law’s voice was icy.

Uchiha Raijin lumping him together with Doflamingo had irked him greatly. After all, he was the one who wanted to avenge Corazon!

“That’s good to hear! Since you’re not here for revenge,” Raijin said with a faint smile, “why not join us in Dressrosa?

“After all, I don’t want the Ope Ope no Mi falling into the wrong hands.

“It’s best if something so valuable stays under our control—especially a fruit that drives the world to madness.”

Raijin tapped the table lightly as he spoke.

In the next instant, Trafalgar Law unsheathed Kikoku, eyeing Raijin warily.
