I also have that issue with dating people they think I'm "so cute" at first but then they realize that I am this way 24/7 there is no turning my autism off, the cuteness because annoying to them and they snap at me the way Sasha did. This episode really hits home.

Having to sleep after masking all day, I get so exhausted pretending to be Neurotypical, I had to learn how to make eye contact, how to talk to people, as a kid I would just not respond at all and just hide behind my mother. I had to learn how to not stim, or rock in front of people. doing things that come naturally to me and masking that part of me to fit into society. Not only for my protection but to get jobs etc, usually having meltdowns like Quinni in my car or at my apartment. You bottle up who you are in order to make everyone else feel comfortable and gets to be too much at times
