***NEW RESCUE ALERT***

Meet Nyx. We knew this sweet girl was coming. We did not know she was coming to us like this.

Mikayla left to collect her and we were then told that she had gotten out and had been injured, as you can see she is in rough shape with her ear. We collected her immediately and she will be seen by a vet as soon as she arrives in Minnesota.

Nyx is a 2yr old artic female who was surrendered to us from an illegal state.

We know you all love the foxes and we sincerely hope that should you ever decide to bring a fox into your home, you would do it in a legal state and that you’d make sure they were from a rescue.

When I first looked at the picture, I honestly couldn't tell if this was a small dog or a fox, mainly because of the ears not being pointed. Regardless, this is a sweet soul who needs gentle care. I am glad she will be with people who know how to look after her, to recuperate and have a good life. Recently, because of SaveAFox, I added PETA as one of the charities I send money to each month. One of their many causes is to stop the fur trade. Wearing furs seems to be very passe anyway. On the bright side, I believe that Russia enjoys foxes. Some even come to local country people for meals and the Russians have also created a breed of fox as pets. They do look a bit more dog like than regular foxes but there is an appreciation for the species. I have just been outside to the porch to chat with a young, small raccoon that lives next door. Even though it is mid morning, he/she must have noticed me sprinkling bird seed on the lawn and came for breakfast! I wouldn't mind but it does cost a bit. Maybe I will have to leave a special snack outside but that might encourage a gang to come to the house! Anyway, for now, I told my guest to go back home to sleep and now Millie, my beagle, has stopped barking. She is deafening when right beside you and she is wound up! She is not a hunting dog because I wouldn't let her be. I have forwarded pictures from SaveAFox to friends and the lady who heads up the Amazon Rainforest Conservancy in Toronto was very impressed especially with how Finnegan speaks! She said that if she lived in the area, she would definitely volunteer to help out with the foxes. They are real charmers!

Poor baby, hope all goes well at the vets, sending all my prayers for her.
