CCS: uh..

.. I forgot where this one was going. I never really finished this CCS, and I just found it again today. I think I have a notion of where I was going with it though. I think this is where Greg has a real serious talk with Terrance about how he worries that Terrance is having an affair with Saunders.

Which he isn't.

But Greg doesn't know. He's just majorly insecure and fears that Saunders would be a better partner for Terrance.

And... Well, I think what Greg doesn't see is that his own paranoid thoughts make him behave in ways that he is not even aware of and which only makes him push Terrance away.

It is no easy task for Terrance having to keep his relationship with Greg hidden from the public because of Greg's fear of the public's opinion and reaction. Terrance is taking the precautions Greg wants out of respect for Greg's feelings, not because he agrees with them but because he loves Greg and wants to support his choices. He makes little attempts to cheer Greg on and make him less fearful of the public's opinion and dare to be more confident, but he is aware of how Greg is a generally insecure man and knows that pushing him too far would only make him clam up more.

So Terrance is being very considerate with Greg. Too much sometimes, in how Terrance then bottles up every hurtful feeling he experiences around Greg, like the small yet frequent rejections from him, like not wanting to hold hands in public, even if there's no one around to see them, or pushing Terrance away if he tries to kiss Greg and there's a window nearby.

Greg notices though, how Terrance somehow seems sadder around him than he does when he's around Saunders, and thinks it has to do with Greg as a person more than his actions.
And in short it just becomes this vicious circle of Greg fearing that Terrance would be happier if he and Saunders got together (not really believing that Saunders is straight), his fear and bitterness has him shove Terrance away, Terrance seeks comfort in the cheerful distraction he gets from spending time with Saunders and Sam, and Greg sees this as further proof to his worries, not seeing how it is himself who pushes Terrance away by avoiding to talk about how he really feels and accept that Terrance actually loves him and wants to help him.
But will Greg learn to stop this self destructive behavior, or will it be too late?
Who knows?
(jk, I know, I'm just not telling.. >u> )
