I've been warned of things like these before so it sort of came to mind now because I've been getting some very high amount pledges from various blank accounts, the most recent ones being named after my characters and it said the accounts joined today. So, I hope I'm not being paranoid here but I gotta admit this does kind of ring a little alarm bell in my head...
Seems now that my goal isn't reached after all which could only mean that the super-high pledges that vastly tipped the scale has bounced, I guess.
So for now I'm just gonna wait a few days and see if they were real or fake.
I've heard sometimes people will make fake pledges to get access to patreon-only content and leak it elsewhere, which is really sad.
But I feel like IF that is the case with my patreon page those allegedly fake pledgers kind of went very overboard with it? Cause, like... I don't even have a pay wall. Anyone can get access to my Patreons-only content for one dollar. It's entirely up to the patrons how much they want to donate.
...So I guess I'll just have to wait and see whether those 7+ freshly joined patrons who pledged 50-70 dollars each (and that one dude who pledged over 900(!)dollars) were being genuine or not. Cause if those pledges go through then holy f*cknuckles Christmas came early this year..! And if not then, shit, seems like we're still a long way to reaching that goal...
Which is sad cause I am really excited for those art classes.
Will probably do one regardless, but regular ones will have to wait till the goal is genuinely reached unfortunately.
