I figured it was a good idea to make a proper commissions post, and one I could link to the people of deviantart as well :) Pledging patrons who have been patrons for a year or more will get a discount to the commission base price. Therefore, should any of them decide to get one of the commissions slots mentioned below, they can refer to the LTP price, LTP as in Long Term Pledger :) Otherwise, these are my available commission slots and their prices:

Portrait:

Description:
Detailed, semi-realistic drawing of your character from their shoulders / mid-chest and up, including hands / arms if it fits the composition. Drawn in graytones as a standard, but a coloring option is available.

Base price: $150 (LTP $100)

Full/Halfbody:

Description:
A detailed digital painting that shows your character from the feet or waist up, depending on what fits the scene and composition. The character will be drawn in a setting of your choice, or you may describe the character for me and leave it to me to think of a suitable scenario for them. These commissions are priced much higher to fit the amount of work hours put into it.
The base price includes grayscale, one character and a simple background.

Half body (from the waist/hips and up): $200 USD (LTP price 150 USD)

Full body: $250 USD (LTP price 200 USD)

Expections, adjustments, combos and other:

I will also adjust my prices to more reasonable ones if it makes more sense. Like in the examples below where A and B technically have additional characters, but that would price A at around 600 bucks and that's way too high for a piece like that, so I would lower it to around 300-350 depending on the amount of time I estimate spending on it. Example B would probably have been priced as just a base+color, since that's the amount of time spent on it I'd assume it equals to. So while the base price is what it is, the rest may vary depending on content and workload, so it might be lower than the prices listed here, but not higher.
Once we've agreed on a price, I cannot and will not charge extra. If I add more details or work on it longer than I estimated, that's on me. If you want any changes made after the commission is completed, that might cost extra but we'll settle on a price together. This is why you get previews and updates during. Any changes you want me to make you can tell me about after the first update, as things are usually at a rough stage there. Once we've agreed on the sketch and idea, I will not change anything as it'll just distrupt my work flow. Exceptions being if I have forgotten any detail that you have told me prior to include, cause in that case it's my fault for forgetting and I'll fix my mistake :)

- description of your character(s) including references. (If you feel there is anything else as well that might help me visualize what you're visualizing, feel free to include it ^u^ )

First come first serve, but I will reserve the right to refuse commissions to. Rarely ever happens though xD

Payment is done via paypal (or Vipps or cash if you're a local ;) )
You will get my paypal address via our email conversations.

NOTE: while it is a kind gesture, please do not convert the price to Norwegian Kroner, I kinda lose a lot of money that way because of the currency convertion rates changing so frequently... ^^; I would prefer that you paid me in American Dollar / USD, because it's just that much easier for me that way :D Thanks for your understanding ^_^ <3

Payment options:

For portrait commissions, you can pay either in advance or upon completion (I'll notify you when the commission is complete and I'll send it to you once the payment is received)

For fullbody commissions, you can pay either in advance, or split the payment into two or three parts where you pay one part in advance and the rest before I send you the completed commission.

The process:

When we've discussed the commission, agreed on the price and payment method etc, I'll get started on the sketch and rough layout of the whole thing. Or sketch some various options for you to choose from for larger commissions if I see that there are more compositions that might look good and/or fit the overall mood and expression you're looking for. With portrait commissions I usually just get started on the whole piece and send you the progress after the first session.
When you get this first update, you have the oportunity to tell me about any small changes or adjustments I need to make if you feel I should or if I forgot something or drew something wrong. Or if you like what you see, I'll continue working on it until it's finished and I'll contact you when the commission is completed. For larger commissions I'll keep sending previews and sneak peeks until it's completed so you're updated on the process. When the commission is completed, I'll let you know. I will send you your commission when it's done and paid for, so if you've paid in advance you will get full view updates along the way and the entire commission once it's completed. Sneak peeks and previews and getting the full resolution file after the payment is received is for the split payment option, or the pay after option on the portraits.
This is to ensure the safety of both you as a client and me as an artist. Mutual trust is key <3

"How long will my commission take?"

The limited number of open slots at a time is due to making sure I will finish everything within a month at most and not get overworked. In between commissions I am working on my graphic novel, but I do set aside time weekly for commission sessions.
March/April and most of May are busy times for me due to moving out of my old apartment and into a new one, so commissions are taking longer in this period. But usually portraits take from 2-6 weeks to finish and fullbody ones around 2-4 months.
Sometimes if there's not much left before I've finished the commissions I already have, I will open new slots in the meantime so that I can hopefully have some new ones to get started on by the time the current ones are completed. So if you still haven't received yours and you see me opening new slots, don't worry; I haven't forgotten about you, it simply means that it's not long until yours is done :D <3
