Fabled Backgrounds [WIP]

Fabled Backgrounds will be coming with the Wave 4 races that are coming soon. Just need to finish up Forespoken and then add what Feat you gain to the description of each background since the passives no longer display like they did during Early Access. I will make Icons after Wave 5 of Fantastical Multiverse for the backgrounds but didn't want to hold the project any longer since the 1st-Level Feats have been fixed.  I'll try to get a list of what each feat you will get based on the passive in the next news update related to this mod. There are a lot of backgrounds LOL so this will take some time. 

What are Fabled Backgrounds?

It's a mod that modifies all vanilla backgrounds and adds additional backgrounds from One D&D(Revised/5.5), Grim Hollow, Dungeons of Drakkenheim, and my homebrew backgrounds. 

How do the revised Backgrounds work?

Background Features

 Ability Scores

Your character’s ability scores increase one by 2 and the other one by 1. 

Skill Proficiencies

Your character gains Proficiency in skills based on your background.  

 Feat

Your character gains one 1st-level Feat.  Based on the background selected. 

1st-Level Feat List:

• Lightly Armored (Revised)
• Alert (Revised)
• Crafting (Revised)
• Lucky (Revised)
• Savage Attacker (Revised)
• Musician (Revised)
• Mobile
• Magic Initiate [Primal, Arcane, Divine] (Revised)  
• Nocturnal (Grim Hollow)
• Cruel (Critical Role)

Some Backgrounds did get unique versions:

• Knight of Solamnia gets the Squire of Solamnia feat. 
• Rakdos Cultist gets their Spell List feature instead of a feat. A majority of the spells require you to be a spellcaster. 
• Scimic Scientist gets their Spell List feature instead of a feat but also requires you to be a spellcasting class to access a majority of the spells.
• Magic Initiate will be preselected but I chose spells I felt fit the lore of the background and are useful to a player. Combat Cantrip and Situational Cantrip are selected.  
• Full List will be added in the future just figured I'd name a few Feats and Features

Doesn't this add a bunch of ASI?

I will add a patch that removes the ASI's from the classes and an optional one that removes just the ASI's from the backgrounds with the relaunch of Fabled Backgrounds. You will get to choose if you want to keep the ASI from the classes or not. It's your game you decide what you want.

Will the new Backgrounds get Icons?

Yes, after Fantastical Multiverse Wave 5.

How were backgrounds Handled/How did you decide what Feats to provide?

First, I start with the source material. So used the Unearthed Arcana material first. When adding official 5E Backgrounds I reviewed the background, and then based on the revised 1st-Level feats I selected a choice from that. If it is a homebrew I typically used a Homebrew feat for that from Critical Role or Grim Hollow. I wanted you to have alot of variety.

Do Backgrounds have the inspiration feature?

Vanilla remains the same. All new ones use a tag from the vanilla backgrounds that I felt fit as closely as possible. So they utilize currently what's available in the game.
