Mega Mashup Zip Pack: June 2021, Part 2 – Hamilton! At The Disco, ’50s, country, Muse, Duran, RuPaul, & so much more!
Added 2021-07-01 21:17:58 +0000 UTCI really didn't think Part 2 of the June 2021 Mega Mashup Zip Pack would be EVEN BIGGER than Part 1, but here we are with 260 tracks, including five excellent mashup albums, a folder of country music mashups, and a whole slew of fantastic creative work.
Seriously, the mashup scene is ON FIRE right now. Here's what's here:
• Hamilton! at the Disco – Doctor Brixx -- every song from the musical Hamilton mashed up with Panic! At The Disco. As would be expected, some work better than others, but there's no question that this was an epic undertaking from Doctor Brixx.
• Mashed Up at the Sock Hop Vol. 1 – iWillBattle compiled this double-disc mixtape of '50s rock-and-roll mashups, with the first half being done by various producers, while he holds down the entire second half. An era of music rarely mashed up!
• Assimilation Theory: Muse Mashup Album -- Dunproofin' compiled this excellent mixtape of mashups from Muse's 2018 album, Simulation Theory, which also includes several Muse tracks from previous albums.
• ShyBoy presents The RuPaul Mixtape Vol. II -- Bootie Mashup LA's own ShyBoy has mashed up a zillion sound bites and songs from RuPaul's Drag Race, and it's gay AF!
• Duran Duran Mashed -- Bootie Mashup's artist-tribute mixtape, previously a Patreon exclusive, but it just dropped to the general public a couple weeks ago.
• Country music mashups! I'm currently working on a country music mashup mixtape, tentatively titled Bootie Mashup Hoedown. IamJstncrdble has been helping with curation, and here are some of the tracks that are contenders.
• So many many MANY more mashups -- new work from DRA'man, Hallmighty, MashupChuck, Rudec, Vixoria Drift, and newcomers Anson Eggerss and Miles Beyond, and so many more!
