nana, chichi, baba, tata?

A week ago I published this modding diary https://www.patreon.com/posts/modding-diary-85080426 which showcased the weaning system Im working on. I used "nana" as a nickname for boobies but I know nana also means grandmother to some families, which might be a little strange. 😅

some of you suggested some alternative nicknames in the comments so Im making a poll here to see which one gets the most vote.

Before you ask, unfortunately theres no way to let players enter their own nickname because of how the game works : /

Hi, it’s in progress still

PandaSama

hey is the the breastfeeding toddlers an option yet or is in progress?

Sabbysims

boobies or milkies

Madaline Schumacher

We were also a "milkies" family, but my oldest also called it "noo-noos" (rhymes with "boo-boo")

In Spanish, "chi-chi" is like saying "ti--ies" instead of breasts. So it's more slang than proper.

TRUTH_SAYER

I like chichi but i also like Ashley stanbra's to with bitty

GenieBeanie

Baba is also another word for father or grandfather / old wise man.. I like chichi, it's slang for breasts and something we used in my family lol, i also like tata, milkies, as someone else suggested is also super cute!

Bee

My nephew asks for milk. My sister told me a story of a friend who told her son the milk was all gone when she got pregnant with her daughter, and one day he saw her feeding his sister and confronted his mother with "MY milk?? You're giving her MY milk?"

Bitty or boobie juice lol

Ashley Stanbra

I called it "boobie snack" lol also just milk or nurse

Heather

Milkies sounds super cute too. I used to always say drink milk and at some point my daughter made Minna out of it. ;) And that stayed, even when she could say milk.

Finja 80

Maybe an unpopular thing but I literally say t!tty (unsure if certain words aren't allowed) or b00b lol.

Crissi Willis

Same in my family. Our toddlers overall never refer to breasts: they only refer to what they're trying to get to (milk sounds more like ma'am, or sometimes they say "eee-eee (as in eat-eat)" or do "gimme" hand gestures

Coralia

I still breast feed my toddler and he says either milk or milkies lol

Mallory Mount

Oh ok I understand now. Thank you for clarifying. I thought this was in regards to changing the words during certain interaction with your mod.

Naija

It’s not about censoring anatomies. I think it’s just unusual for toddlers to use the term “breasts” instead of calling them by nicknames

PandaSama

why cant we use the medical term which is just breast? i understand this is a game for all ages but we shouldn't be censoring our anatomies especially when we're discussing childbirth breast feeding and weening.

Naija

I would prefer something simple like nursing or milk from mom. I'm not one for cutsie names though.

GreyZone

Lol my kids called them milkies but boobies are good too

Drama Whims Simmer

I agree with Rachael Strube. However, my kids always used the term boobie

Wendy Hubble

Maybe suso? It’s the islander way of saying boobie and it fits the simlish vibe

Rachael Strube

My daughter used to call mine “nanies”. Idk where she got it from lol I just always said “milk” 🤷🏽‍♀️or nothin at all.

I'd use breast or booby. It's an anatomical name and should be perfectly fine to use.

Heather Thompson

I choose boobie but I didn’t see the option for mama milk/mommy milk. That also would be really good to call it

ZuriloveSerenityxoxo

Nivie (N-i-Va-E) was what we called it as kid 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

Milk milky is kinda bland maybe mama’s milk, prefer boobie or baba. 🥰

Sabbysims

Boobie. Just call it what it is.

Sarah Holley

I prefer milk/milky bc it's inclusive of many different parents. I play with LGBT families a lot so that's important to me. That said I also think "boobie" is ok as children should know the actual name of body parts.

Nathalie

They say to teach your children the actual names of the body parts so I'm good with boobie tho as an alternative suggestion my cousins baby (used to call them boobie(s)) for some reason calls it "Diddy/Diddies"...we think my uncle...the babies grandpa...called them tiddies infront of her so she now says Diddies/Diddy

My little sister called it noo-noo.

StephMillsSims

I like Mama Milk or Milky like others have suggested!!

Ashley

Tata in Polish means "Dad" :D and little kids name their Grandma "Baba" in Poland :D. I vote for "Boobie" or Mama Milk too ;)

Frezja1728

My little girl called it milky’s

Yeah in Mexican Spanish culture we call them chichi, I’m fine with that or boobie

I like Chichi, we'd call them that cuz my mom is Mexican lol.
