Hi Everyone! This week I continued to work on the Deliver food interaction for partner sims.😊
They can now deliver 5 different type of food
ice chips which you have already seen last week
they have 50% chance of getting one of 5 moodlets after eating
hospital food, which fills up their hunger the most but tastes rather bland(3 moodlets)
sandwich can fill up their hunger a decent amount and is delicious (3 moodlets)
ice cream fills up their hunger by a smaller amount and puts them in a good mood(3 moodlets)
and finally a bowl of jello, it has the same effect as ice cream
Partner sim will also have 50% chance of getting one of 4 moodlets when bring food to the birthing sim
and that's all I have this week.
In the comment section from my WIP post last week quite a lot of you suggested an interaction which the partner sim wipe the forehead of the birthing sim, so I decided to work on that next week! 😉However I wonder, do you see the partner sim performing this interaction while sitting on the exam bed facing the birthing sim, sitting next to the birthing sim on a stool, or standing next to the birthing sim? Personally I feel like having him sit on the bed facing the birth sim would be the most intimate, but Im curious to what you guys think.
I continued to learn python this week, slowly but surely getting better at it. My brain felt so alive again and i have been looking forward to my python day every week.

I have always loved having my sim to give birth in a hospital but the only annoying thing was when they were hungry (WHICH WAS EVERY HALF HOUR) I would need them to go and make the hospital food themselves because the partner always would eat it. Next thing I know I am seeing a very heavily pregnant woman waiting by a microwave for her food and then eating it at the table upright in between contractions while the partner sim would be on his phone and being completely useless.

This time I'm really late in commenting, which is because I spontaneously went to see my best friend a week ago and unfortunately missed the update, but now I'm back! And the selection options are great, especially the moodlets! *heart eyes* I also think the next project is really nice, where the partner Sim sits on the bed and wipes the pregnant Sim's forehead. This is a beautiful, loving idea. :) I also have a few ideas. :) Also with help from my husband. ;) First of all, he might walk around restlessly during the birth, then at some point he sinks to the ground and starts praying or something. :) Maybe with a suitable moddlet that helped him and gave him more confidence, or something? Then he sits next to the bed and holds his wife's hand. She then presses... and presses and presses harder and harder. After the birth of our first child, my husband had blue fingers because I squeezed so hard. Oops. *shame* And then maybe a moodlet that his hand hurts, but he was happy to do it because it meant he could be there for his partner. :) Then another very eager one who shoos his partner off the lounger, lies down on it like a dog that wants to have its belly scratched and then shows her how best to push. Including grimacing, pressing your legs to your stomach and everything that goes with it. Then he stands up again and shows her that she can lie down again. ;) Then we have the opposite of that. A Sim who isn't interested in the whole thing, who waves it off when his partner wants something and spends the whole time on his cell phone. There are not only great partners during birth, but also bastards. ;) Oh and then: breastfeeding a toddler doesn't work for me. The interaction just isn't there and I don't know why. :( So, for now, that's probably enough. *grin* Kind regards and thank you for all your work always. :) Miria
