Progress Update For the First Episode

Ever since I quit my job, I have been non-stop working on getting this episode together. And don't worry, I'm not overworking myself because I enjoy doing all this. So here is an update on what I've gotten done so far.

-SCREENPLAY/SCRIPT

The screenplay for this animation is 19 pages long. Yeah, it was a lot writing. It's certainly going to be a process working with voice actors because there is a lot of dialogue in this.

-VOICE ACTORS

Just a couple of hours ago, I hired the first voice actor for the project. I'm going to be hiring 6 in total for this episode alone.

-SCENE-BUILDS

I've made a decent amount of progress for the scene-builds that will be used for the animation. I'm basing most locations throughout the animation off of real places that I grew up with as a child. I'm even recreating my old house for this animation. (There's no reason in particular for this, other than it makes the whole process more fun and personal to me)

-UPDATED FLOWER

I've updated Flower's model once more. As some of you saw she has a more curvy and puffy mane, and I've added more flex controllers to her face. So now she can be more expressive when she talks or makes faces.

-INVESTMENT

I recently purchased a 4090 graphics card, specifically so I can render 2x as fast as I used to. My previous graphics card was a 3090ti. Thanks to you guys supporting me, I was able to make this investment into the project. So, as I always do, I would love to thank all of you for being Patrons! Genuinely grateful for each and every one of you.

-CONCLUSION

Things have been going better than expected. I have a checklist with deadlines for different parts of the project that need to be finished, and so far, I'm nearly 2 months ahead of the schedule. However, things will significantly slow down when I get to the animation process. This is going to be the longest animation I've ever made, and certainly the most ambitious one. I still don't have an estimate of exactly how long the animation will be, but ball park; probably around 15 minutes long. Give or take 3 minutes. There's a lot of work to be done, and I'm looking forward to all of it. Especially when I actually get to start animating. Hope you all have been doing well, and once again, thank you for supporting me and making this possible.

I might have some fans do some VA’s but not entirely sure yet

LFØ

Are the VA's going to be front the fans or those who've done work before?

I love her poofy mane, I knew the curly and asymmetrical design would be a hit lol. But wow how far did that graphics card set you back lol. I wanna start investing in a gaming PC myself and that sounds expensive

. do something you love. & you’ll never do a day of “work” again. - All seriousness aside, don’t forget to eat & do basic chores. One can get lost in their passions for labor of love.

With pleasure

Pinkie-pieV8

I understand that. And if I ever feel the need to take a break I will. But honestly if I’m not working I will just get bored lol. I’m not even putting all this work in because I feel pressured or anything like that, it’s just the only thing I feel like doing.

"And don't worry, I'm not overworking myself because I enjoy doing all this." As a writer, who enjoys writing, I'll warn you that you can overwork yourself doing something you enjoy. Make sure to take time for you.
