Okay, I know this is all sorts of wordy after I said I'd avoid making wordy comics, BUT!
I originally wrote less.
What happened was I kept editing it for clarity, and it just kept getting longer.
Admittedly, I could have left out the detail about getting some energy back when she unsummons fox. Given that Fox is supposed to be a costly spell, I figured this would be a really good thing to point out early even if missing with trades later.
Wordy Kevin also wasn't going to interrupt! He was going to say something else (that he's now going to say later), but Kevin defied my plans because it made sense that he'd have something to say about this.
Dude interrupted me AND Tedd.

However, Kevin was literally made to be an expert on this stuff in a slightly different magic system under which he didn't actually work. So he's probably a good expert? That said, true worst case scenario is Nanase spends a few more months with black hair. So Kowabunga Jenkins!
