I really was trying to figure out what about the new audios that didn’t give me the same excitement as before, this is why!! I LOVE the YouTube audios, where there are multiple parts and we get to know the characters, and hear them speak to us in a manner that doesn’t seemed rushed and unrealistic. I think the spicy scenes have developed well since the first audios Yato has posted, they have became very believable and inclusive for everyone (body types, gender, etc). But the main plots have seemed to fall a little. You managed to put into words exactly what I was thinking in such a respectful manner, honestly 😩

What a great voice! The plot was believable as I do think he would be willing to follow a single lead in order to save his people. I like the pacing, I like to imagine more time goes on in between and listener and Gaara are sharing snapshots. It just seems that way in my mind, there's no way a whole relationship could truly be fleshed out in a 1 hour audio, there has to be skips. Sometimes I think ppl forget that... Gaara does have a tendency not to trust people very easily, ESPECIALLY when it comes to love (thanks, Uncle Yashamaru) so I can see that while he may crave listener's attention, he would be warring with himself internally about their intentions and whether or not he's making a mistake. Maybe even to the point where Listener may have to ease him into it with gentle touch (maybe he even rejects touch at first) and words. Maybe his siblings have to even get involved and give him that nudge he needs. These little things? Oh how they get the butterflies fluttering. The romance is so much more rewarding. 😫🙏🏼💜

On a side note, while it may not have turned out as intended, I tried to ask myself “how lonely would someone who had recently lost their entire life be? What about someone who had already felt lonely even when things were fine?” The playful/mysterious listener was his only lead thus far, to a man who couldn’t even sleep but stood there for nearly 3 days without sleep. He was never used to being in such a situation and albeit he was determined, he was Exhausted, and without any hint or lead after fervently searching. He’s never grown accustomed to people who try and know him, only respect him. Listener was the type who is mysterious and I promising what might be a pipe dream but without any alternative he felt obligated to give them what they jokingly told was to marry him/have him as a companion. Him being a very serious type, he does not hesitate, but he also used that as an excuse to quell his own loneliness, he himself was touch starved and terribly empty, he realized his kingdom couldn’t, even if it came back give him the feelings he had mysteriously found with a stranger, and he got addicted to it, and gaara as a person, is very much determined and sees listener as someone who there is no point in hesitation, as he’s a very driven and also inexperienced man. I realized that it was arguably too soon for him to go into such a mood but also, given his character and what we know of him, he likely wouldn’t know that love has hesitation or patience, he dives in head first like he did for training or leading his village. That’s the motivation, though I will try and do more slow burn romances c:

So, I'm gonna be 100% real and honest here. Cece, your voice is amazing and wonderful to listen to, that's a given. However, the quality of the actual "story" behind the audios has really diminished. Please understand, I love your audios, but here lately, they've been missing that substance that really hooked me when I first found you. For one, as soon as the audio starts, he begins monologing about a curse his people are under and how he's a king of nothing. As a listener, I'm not sure what to visualize. Is he talking to us? To someone else? To himself? It's hard to settle into the audio, if that makes sense. Then, he starts talking to us as if we've been standing there the whole time without any context at all. Like, what are we doing there? Where is there? Does he know us? And THEN he introduces himself? And then he just randomly falls asleep on our lap and follows us home? And then he agrees to marry us and says he loves us? I just... it's like bad fanfiction. Your other audios where we have to earn the characters trust? Peak. Audios where we have to wait 1 or 2 audios before anything happens while we build the relationship? PEAK. Audios where you display the flustered and unsure side of the more stoic characters? PEAK. Audios where the listener is even given a bit of character building? ABSOLUTE PEAK. Again, I LOVE your audios, please understand, I'm just offering some (hopefully 🥺) constructive criticism in the sea of excited comments.
