Damn I'm good! Watching for the first time. I pegged Charlie as Elias as soon as he said that the last time he shot a gun was eith "on of my foster fathers". Thought that it wasn't random them throwing in that he was a foster kid.

Soon after he appears onscreen at the crime scene, it’s immediately show him caught on the ATM surveillance camera using the white van. There’s only a bit of ambiguity at first about who he is working for. As for the reveal of who killed the Russian mafia boss, I agree, it was unnecessarily dramatic and you are right to assume that the camera work make you think of another twist/reveal.

2019-06-28 10:02:25 +0000 UTCBest episode so far! It’s a 10 for me without reservation. I like the slow build of Elias through previous episodes. It can be confusing to follow when you watch the first time because you have to know that episodes are related and you have to be prepared to catch every hints. This show rewards the attentive viewer, some hints are shown onscreen for only a few seconds, some lines of dialogue, references may seem casual but are instead purposeful. It’s like with other JJ Abrams shows (Alias, Lost, Fringe). But it’s almost impossible to catch everything the first time.

2019-06-28 09:47:57 +0000 UTCExactly. :) I'm so happy to be getting so many episodes of Person of Interest a week because someone who updated to the binge tier requested more for it too. It's definitely one of my absolute favorite shows, just slightly behind how much I love Once Upon a Time. I've loved Jim Caviezel for a long time as an actor because he's phenomenal in every role he plays, especially as Reese and Edmond Dantes from The Count of Monte Cristo, and there are some more really phenomenal movies with him in them too. Frequency starring Jim and Dennis Quaid, Angel Eyes starring Jim and Jennifer Lopez, The Passion of the Christ starring Jim as Jesus Christ, etc... I highly recommend you watch these if you're interested to see more works of his.

2019-06-28 00:51:53 +0000 UTCThank you so much for another phenomenal episode!!! I really love this episode a lot. I love Elias and the mystery behind his character. And there is so much more behind his character and why he's doing all he's doing to be revealed in later episodes. I also love that no one until the end of this episode knew who Elias really was or even what he looked like. And the huge plot twist that Charlie turned out to be Elias? Wow! I didn't see that coming at all the first time I watched this episode and I loved it. The dialogue exchanges between Reese and Elias is really good like you said. I love their dynamic. Also... I love that in this episode, we got a reference to some of Jim Caviezel's earlier work. You didn't catch this and you might not have seen the movie before, but Jim Caviezel (Reese) starred previously in a movie version of The Count of Monte Cristo as Edmond Dantes. That's why they made a point to show the book Charlie had assigned to his students when Reese and Charlie were hiding out in Will's apartment. I especially love seeing John smile slightly when the student mentions that Edmond is a survivor, just like Reese is too. Brilliant!! If you've never seen the movie before, I highly recommend it. Jim Caviezel is phenomenal in this movie. As for the cop with a scar working for Elias... I do understand your reserve about how you feel towards what might have been too early for them to reveal who he was and that he was working all along for Elias. But I still like his character a lot overall too, because there is still some mystery to him we've yet to see. And I didn't expect him to break into the mobster's home to suddenly kill him for Elias in the end either. Whether it was surprising it was this man with the scar or not... it was still surprising to me and I loved see him walk off with Elias in the very end. Poor Reese now feels guilty for letting Elias live and is afraid of how many people's numbers might come up because he did so. The Elias mystery is a big storyline and it's really good, so I'm really excited for more. :) What a great storyline and I love all of the excitement and the twist in the end. Finch, Fusco, and Carter were great like always, but this was an even greater episode for Reese. So good! Thank you again! Until next time...

2019-06-27 23:45:05 +0000 UTCYou will get to know a lot more about Elias and his whole background which will make it all more clear what his goals are. What we do know for now is that he is the illegitimate son of the previous Don and that his mother was killed by the Don and he got sent into foster care. Now he returns with his own organization and slowly taking back territory, starting with the last territory that his father rules before he got sent to prison. Bit thin for now but that is honestly what I like about that show, they take their time and slowly give you information over time, sometimes even through seemingly unrelated events in other Episodes and you have to piece the information together much like the main characters have to. That is another really interesting thing if you think about it, we never have information that our main characters don't have. For example we only know what Reese and Finch know, or those that are associated with them like Fasco. Which is for example why we don't get much from or about Carter unless she is together with Fusco or beeing observed by Reese since she isn't working with the Team so they can only get information from her when they directly or indirectly interact with her and the same goes for everyone else. There are slight exception to this rule (like us seeing the Bratva Boss getting killed) but generally this is how it goes. About "Scarface" that it was so obvious was also a bit to misdirect you from realizing who truly Elias is. Since there is such an obvious "bad guy" you are more fucused on him and get less of an idea that Charlie really is Elias. A lot of great stuff to come in the future, really looking forward to the next episodes.
