This episode and the next one are high 9s to 10s to me. I LOVED how emotional it got. Sam's very first death...So heartbreaking. Jensen and Jared are just TOP NOTCH at making you feel things. Damn, I sobbed the first time I watched it. I HATE Jake but I totally love Aldis Hodge's character in Leverage. Still hoping you'll get back to that one day. Really pleased you're continuing on with SPN and hope you'll remain spoiler free for the rest of the series. I have to admit, I can't wait to get to season 4 of your reactions and see your reaction to Cas. He is beloved in this fandom so I'm hoping that you love him, too. Ahh, on to the next reaction now.

@Geeked Have you ever watched Leverage? Black dude (Aldis Hodge) is Hardison from that.

Part 2 is one of my favourites, the ending of part 1 was heartbreaking but well acted by all especially Jensen who didn’t need to pull on personal experience to get emotional J2 are both so in tune with their characters (plus their real life brotherly love) that pulling on any emotion be it sadness, grief, anger is easy. I loved your assumption as to stereotype first to die I was almost bouncing in my seat to say...not even close if only you knew. Anyone can’t wait to see you’re part 2 reaction it’s a great episode.

Yeah, thumbnails aside, watching the episodes for the first time, knowing there are way too many seasons to go, can take the emotional punch out of the main characters death scenes. I'm glad you can imagine what it was like for us "in real timers" though. I know it won't happen, but I'd love it if somehow you caught up and had to react to the final season along with the rest of us. That would be glorious. Where's a djinn (or the time) when you need it. *chuckle* Excellent reaction once again. I was right there with you about Ava's reveal. I didn't see it coming either. And I'm not a big fan of cliches, so I was pleasantly surprised when the didn't kill Jake off first. But when he killed Sam, the ungrateful little shit, I was yelling "you should have been a cliche" at my t.v. through the tears. I love the emotional rollercoaster ride this show takes me on. On a side note, you probably recognize Aldis Hodge "Jake" from his portrayal of Alec Hardison on the TNT series Leverage, or as MC Ren in Straight Outta Compton. Also right there with you about Lily. Why didn't that girl have gloves, waving her finger around threatingly. I mean, like Andy, maybe her powers wouldn't have any impact on the other special children, but I'd have loved to see that theory tested. It was interesting to see that type of power pop up again, but, just like with poor Scott who had a similar power of killing by touch but was killed by Gordon in the episode Hunted, we didn't really get to see this type of power explored. Oh, well. I can't wait for your reaction to the next one.

I was finally able to watch this. I've really been looking forward to your reaction to this season's finale. Season 2 is one of my favorite season's. So many good episodes. So few plain filler episodes that are sub par. So much character, plot and lore development. Love it! As an FYI - I suggest you allow yourself to watch the intro the the season finale episodes. And the season premier episodes. It's safe to watch them. They just give you a run down of the season so far, nothing hinting at what's to come in the episode. I loved Andy and wish he hadn't died. Ava is also a cool character. Too bad they both had to die, though. But it was good too. But what's up with burning down the Road House and killing Ash? Hope Ellen's alive at least. Thanks for getting this episode out. You're a good nephew, helping out as much as you do. I bet the family knows they can always count on you. That's nice. I agree with you about the Cliche stuff. That happens a lot and pisses me off too. The town is based on a real place. The show liked to do that in the early season's. One of Kripke's things for the show was to base it on real things like that. I think they saved Sam for the last group of special kids. So whoever survives this group is The One. Sam didn't learn his lessen from Gordon. And others. Never turn your back on someone after you think you've won a fight if the person is still alive. Too bad you saw that thumbnail. But it doesn't give you the context.

"We really doing this cliche bullshit, where we kill the black guy first? Not a fan of this, man". Black guy literally only one to not die lol.

I really really like when you go back over the episode and work things out. It often helps me put together things in the episode I didn't pick up on myself. Like the 'headache' Ava got and what it actually was. I don't have anyone I watch the show with, so you're like my virtual viewing buddy LOL

Maybe the thumbnail was a bit of a spoiler, but it's about the journey. After 14 seasons not really a surprise. I loved your reaction and yes this season is superior to Sn 1. But I think the characters and writing was still looking for their groove. I LOVE the next episode so I have my fingers crossed. I know you said in Sn 2x1 you didn't feel the emotional punch you hoped for, I hope the next one gives it to you. and I would also encourage you to watch that first one again at some point to see if things are different, now that you know what you know.

Yay!!! Thank you so much for watching and reacting to this first episode to the two part season two finale. Like I said in my comments under your last reaction.... this finale is my favorite finale throughout the entire series. It's really good. I loved learning more about the truth behind why Yellow Eyes wanted Sam. I also loved seeing him and a few more psychic children including Andy and Ava, come together again in a real life ghost town known for its inhabitants fleeing upon the town becoming so horribly haunted. Cold Oak, South Dakota. And boy... the ending with Sam dying in Dean's arms after being stabbed in the back by Jake right in front of Dean... so heartbreaking and so good. I didn't expect anything like this would happen. You see... I watched this series every season as they aired and so at the time, I had no idea if Sam would come back, how he possibly could come back, or if the series would even be renewed for a third season. I had no idea how things would work out and it was crushing and shocking. Quite brilliant for all of us who had watched this series from the beginning. Seeing as you know there are several more seasons, this ending didn't leave you feeling the same impact we all felt, which is too bad. But I'm happy you still enjoyed it. Now... I loved seeing Bobby again, and I was very sad that Andy and Ash both were killed in this episode too. Ava was brilliant though. I didn't expect her to be such a killer and so creepy too. Overall... I love, love, love this episode and really enjoyed your reaction for it. So, thank you so much again! I can't wait for your reaction for All Hell Breaks Loose Part Two!!! So good. :)
