2019-07-03 13:42:43 +0000 UTCThank you again, so much for another great reaction! I really enjoyed this episode a lot. And we finally get to see Carter shine. Most of all, I really love Reese's drive to keep Carter safe and seeing him fight against all of those he feels could be a threat against her. In regards to the threats... You are right about how the Machine works. And you're right that the one threat to Carter that was weak for this episode was Kovack, the abusive husband. However, Reese and Finch most likely suspected that Kovack might be a threat to her after they overheard him threatening her in the bar when she goes to see him and warn him. It was probable he could have made a call to a friend to help him take care of her. Otherwise, the Machine wouldn't have seen him as a threat to her. Reese and Finch only did because they heard his threat against her. I love seeing Reese take down the gun runner's men, his moment with Carter in the end after he saves her life from her crooked criminal informant who had been paid off by Elias to kill Carter for him, and I especially loved the moment between Reese and the dirty police Captain and hearing Reese threaten him and Elias if they ever attempt to hurt Carter again. Such brilliant scenes. I loved that Reese confronted Carter as he stayed hidden in the shadows and told her that she wasn't alone. I also really liked the backstory for Carter. Her devotion to stop other soldiers from being killed and her drive to protect the man most everyone else saw as just another terrorist. It was sad that he wound up dying in the end. But it added more drive to Carter's character so that she became the woman she is now. Overall... it was a very good episode. And now... I can't wait for the next episode!!! It's one of my favorites from season one, and it's going to be good. :) Until tomorrow...

2019-07-02 23:19:17 +0000 UTCThe one thing I really didn't like in this episode was when she went to the bar and confronted the Kovak guy - that was a bloody stupid thing to do and I can't imagine she is stupid. Going to the bar, threatening him and emasculating him (I got a feeling it aint that big) was always likely to provoke a response against his wife when he got home.

And I don;t think Finch thought the machine was pointing them at the wife beater - just pointed them to the threat from Elias, who they knew was looking to have her killed in a clean way i.e while on the job thereby making every case potentially the point at which she would be targeted
