I never would have thought that the Logan Echolls of early Season 1 would make me sob when he collapses into Veronica's arms, weeping in despair. How very Jaime Lannister of him. I feel so sorry for Logan: his girlfriend was murdered; his mother committed suicide; his father is an abusive narcissist; and his sister is awful, if not emotionally abusive herself. And apparently he was a decent kid until fairly recently. Logan needs some serious therapy.

But there are better still to come. Knowing that there's a possibility and choosing not to learn, is the equivalent to accept that the worst case
