Yep, both are pretentious asses. And I look at someone like Michael and that's why I love him so much as a character. Someone like Oscar he's nice a lot of the time out of social convention but when you look at some of his statements and judgements you realise that a lot of it it's just an act (be nice because that is how you are supposed to act in public), and that's why Michael is so amazing, what you see is what you get, he wears his heart on his sleeve and he's not afraid to let people know how he feels.

Primus

michael and pam always have me 🥺

Kayla

Oscar's partner was such an asshole. I think I hate him

Calvin Allen

I never really thought about how funny it is that Joss Whedon directed this episode and it has Jim pretending to be a vampire in it. lol

TheMew

It’s a 10 for Michael

Aimee - Yeah, he was looking at his phone for a good 45 seconds to a minute at that part. *facepalm*

You missed the bit in the last episode where Pam and Roy leave together and Jim sees it and looks disappointed. That's why you didn't know they were back together. This is the aspect of Michael's character that I've been waiting for you to get to. He can be so awful and you just hate him, and then he does something like this and completely redeems himself (for the moment, anyway). Steve Carell is brilliant at playing both sides.

I think Pam is doing still life art but it's very flat and what it reminds me of is how many of them were probably done at work. Like a still life of a stapler or office building is not exciting content. And she colors things in that flat lighting that is not inspiring. I think it represents her inner emotions where she's bored at work and outside of work spends time with Roy who doesn't appreciate art. But I think we're led to believe she is capable of more.

Kind of sad you missed the beat line in the episode and one of the best in the series. "People, ryan. And the people will never go out of business"

Man, I just looked through the last 5+ episodes of this season and I can promise you, the quality only goes up. This season was The Office at it's best.

DougRaw

Not to be that guy but this is actually 3x16 of the office. Loved your reaction though, this is a great episode

Light Yagami

Directed by Joss Whedon and this episode has a bat in it! Probably just a coincidence though. Michael showing up to Pam's art show is one of my favorite moments in the whole show.

I would have given this an8 but when I watched it live this morning on the twitch thing, I gained a new appreciation for this episode. I forgot how kind Michael was in this episode and I downplayed the interaction between Jim and Dwight.
