Lorelai was dating a guy named Alex, who took her fishing. But remember when Max came back in town for Chilton event him and Lorelei kissed in the coat room. When Rory and her are home, right before they check the mailbox she says “But what does it mean/what about Alex?” (Lorelai has told about the kiss) lorelai replies I don’t know

Rory going to Yale didn't take me by surprise tbh bc I always thought she was going to end up at the same college as Paris - their banter is way too good to let it end. And since Paris didn't get into Harvard, I was kinda assuming Rory wouldn't go there either.

2020-11-23 18:39:02 +0000 UTCTo your question about getting into a college if someone declines, that can happen if you are put on the waiting list. Sometimes instead of an initial rejection, you can be put on the waiting list and get accepted of someone else declines.

(it would have been in the same letter as the "we regret to inform you . . . ")
