There was also a nod to this episode in season 1, episode 9, Repairs. The kind of spooky episode where the guy, Tobias, was following this woman, Hannah, after that explosion he caused caught him in between worlds or dimensions. When May was able to get him to leave Hannah, Coulson asked her how she did it. May says, I told him the same thing you told me in Bahrain. And that line was, "Let the girl go." This show has such great continuity.

How the actor is portraying him and how he is written during this part of the season is exactly that, creepy and crazy, all for the sake of Skye. If you are confused about some things or if you don't know how to feel about certain characters like Cal, Lincoln, Bobbi, or Mack, that's perfectly normal. It's a common thing in Agents of Shield where they introduce new characters and new problems and at the time it seems confusing or too much to keep up but it all makes sense in the season finale and it will all be worth it. What makes this show so great is that no matter how long you watch the show it never gets to the point where it's predictable. The season 2 finale is definitely a turning point in the show and it's when people began to really see how great Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is.
