Each episode has an English translation for the Hawaiian. Nalowale means "Forgotten/Missing." I do wish they had both names listed because then you can learn a little of the language as you go. I'm not going to lie, they do give you bits and pieces about each character as the episodes continue and eventually it will "even out" so to speak.

The security guy did obstruct justice because he told the ambassador to lie to the police and almost got a lot of people killed. The reason they killed the sister was effectively to send a message that they are serious about their demands. To me the sister never felt dumb she actually just felt like she had emotions and was expressing them more than McGarrett
