Just watched the episode, you have to bare in mind with Andy that you were supposed to hate the character because he wasn't meant to stay, they were writing him out of the show from the beginning. The only reason they kept him is because Ed is great, so the writers had to do a full 180 degree turn and try to make you slowly start to like him and feel sorry for him. Learning that changed how I saw Andy as a character

2020-07-22 02:17:39 +0000 UTCMuch like they made Michael more likeable post season 1 of the Office they've made Andy more likeable since his return from anger management. If memory serves that was supposed to be it for his character after he was sent away to anger management in season 3, but they chose to bring him back and since then have made an effort to make him a little bit more likeable. Definitely having Angela treat him like crap paints him in a far more sympathetic light.
