For me it was easy to identify what happened. I always took it as one more person getting in between Ryan and Marissa. The episode after Marissa lost a potential love interest (or something like..) another one magically appeared, only this time for Ryan. Yeah at this point it was a show running out of ideas, so relationship dramas were all they had, keep switching partners etc. It's a definite sign a show is dying. But I have to give them credit. Without giving spoilers, something happens and the writers made a choice which made season 4 definitely pick up the pace in an interesting way. Season 3 for me is the weakest season by a long margin.

2021-09-09 16:31:25 +0000 UTCI'm not sure they actually played strip poker. I think they changed it to who sleeps in the bed. But yeah, I was ready for Ryan and Marissa to break up. I was over them way before this point. She should have just chosen Johny but probably felt guilty and wanted what was familiar.

2021-09-09 11:53:09 +0000 UTCI think Ryan just wanted to take his mind off Marissa and everything that happened, so he focused on helping Johnny's mom and Sadie. For him it's also a way of trying to make up for what happened, because he feels partly guilty for Johnny's death. But Ryan also feels good around Sadie and they do have a lot of chemistry.
