Silas and his storyline in season 4 was superb imo. That season is criminally underrated. The dynamic with Silas changed drastically in season 5, and it lost a little bit of its edge, but Paul played it brilliantly and I do think his storyline with Qetsiyah had more mileage to tell.

Reminder that Silas was never a vampire, he was just immortal so he had to feed on human blood. And although he probably could have lasted a little longer, I LOVED Silas as a villain. He was so much fun!

He's referencing what Elena asked earlier: If by killing Silas himself then all his pain and trauma will be done/gone. However it didn't work like Elena or Stefan wanted. So, essentially Stefan is clarifying by his ptsd moment at the end that his trauma isn't gone/done despite him finally killing Silas

I hate when shows establish two characters looking alike and then never tells us why. Especially in this show where Elena's doppelganger blood is used in so many rituals like the spell that created vampires. And now he know why. She was the first immortal and it was a piggyback spell off the immortality spell that made vampires. At the very least since you don't like the storyline, they can finally get it out in the forefront and hopefully move on to different stories once this one is done for you.
