2021-11-22 09:55:46 +0000 UTCI think the Barry/Patty thing that is blooming now makes sense to me. A lot of crap has gone down for Barry in and outside of the romantic department and Patty is funny, light and personable. The Caitlin/Jay stuff and the Cisco/Lisa stuff did feel a little much, and I think they could have staggered the beginnings of these connections imo.

2021-10-19 03:58:30 +0000 UTCI get the point though about Caitlyn and Barry getting these new love interests right when they just "lost" someone. But it's just on par with how the arrowverse is written, I would just go along with it.

2021-10-18 19:30:38 +0000 UTCFor me personally it made sense that Barry got a love interest. Iris had Eddie in season 1 and Barry now has Patty in season 2. It in no way takes away from the magic that is Barry and Iris, but they're both not at a point right now where they could date each other. Iris is still mourning Eddie and Barry is trying to move on from that. Do I think Barry will fail in that - of course. But isn't it quite realistic to feel attracted to somebody else when you're trying to move on from a person and you dive into that rather than constantly be hung up on the girl who's obviously not ready atm?

2021-10-18 17:18:45 +0000 UTCI agree that the Caitlin and jay romance seems pretty forced, but in my opinion they actually handle the romance with Barry really well throughout this season, but it does seem a little forced right now.
