Nathan knew that Peyton drew that comic because one one of the panels say "Have sex with meaningless jock" where the drawing featured a boy with his hat on. Brooke asked "Who has sex with a hat on?" and Nathan gave Peyton a look. Thought that was a little funny nod to it. Regarding Haley tutoring Nathan, and defending him this episode I don't know if she's gullible, or if she has an enormous capacity for compassion and empathy, and is able to extend that to Nathan. Plus, Nathan is a really good liar.

I Am Not Chamari

Everyone can you guys please not post spoilers. Just because you know the future of the show, it doesn't mean that the reactors do. They will find out the events of the storyline just as we all did. A lot of fans are talking and being defensive because THEY KNOW how the storyline play out. You have to put yourself into episode 1x04 and what has played out on screen thus far. What is going on with Haley will be revealed in time and they can make up their own mind. What happened with Dan/Deb/Karen WILL BE explained in time.

As for the timeline with Dan: Dan and Karen were together in high school, at the end of their senior year Karen got pregnant and Dan left her afterwards bc he wanted to go to college to pursue a basketball career. In the first semester at college he met Deb (Nathan's mother) and she immediately got pregnant too. That means Lucas is three months older than Nathan, but nobody cheated. Dan left Karen, met Deb and stayed with Deb after she got pregnant with Nathan.

I think Haley is not as gullable as you guys assume. She just gives people a chance regardless of what other people think .. she does the same thing with Peyton this episode. Plus, I know it doesn't seem like it yet, but trust me this show doesn't go down the predictable route every time .. just wait a couple more episodes, then you'll get what I mean ;)

Actually he broke up with Karen before leaving for college because she said no to getting an abortion, then met Deb and she got pregnant their first semester of college and he decided to marry her
