Right. So this is what I mean when I say it wasn’t made clear by the writers. The first time it was mentioned, Klaus could’ve easily been lying just so the others wouldn’t try to kill him (I.e if you kill me, you’ll die too). The second time it was mentioned, it was brought up as speculation. Rebekah saying “I could’ve sworn Klaus was their sire”, but she still wasn’t certain herself. So yes.. it was mentioned twice. But the way in which it was mentioned didn’t make it very clear to the viewer if Klaus was definitely their sire.

2021-05-17 14:01:21 +0000 UTCThis is true it was confirmed twice the first was klaus told them he was the that sired their line then was confirmed when we thought klaus was dead Rebekah and Elijah had a conversation where Elijah says that he not sire their line then he goes on say that he knows Kol wasn't the one sire their and Rebekah admits that it was not her p.s sorry for the rant just want to clear this up for you

You did talk over some Bonnie scenes so not sure if you missed some lines but, Bonnie didn't think he was shady at first, other characters (and the audience) did. Nothing bad happened until recently where she almost killed April. She was scared/angry and we had the first scene where he calms her down with the "Look at me, you're in complete control" lines suggesting all the meditation and training and whatnot has primed her or almost brainwashed her even. So I don't agree that she's just being stupid, she is being manipulated. Then when she learns he killed the 12 people at the farm. She gets angry, calls him crazy etc. When he says the line about her grandmother (a very touchy subject) it does look like she comes back to liking him but the next scene shows that's not true. She's angry at him, saying don't use my grandmother to manipulate me etc and she loses control and starts to use magic to hurt him. It's like she's in a trance, and Shane has to "bring her back" with those lines she was primed with; look at me, you're in complete control. Later you said that you don't undestand why Bonnie's dad and Bonnie trust him now. They don't. Neither of them do. Shane simply showcased that he has turned Bonnie into a ticking timebomb (and says as much), meaning he is needed to keep her in check. The last scene with Bonnie and her Dad they both state that Shane is not to be trusted, and her dad says she needs help. To me, the "dumbest" part is her staying in the room after he pushes her buttons with the grandmother line - but I don't think it's that bad. It's a very touchy subject, so she stays to talk about him / almost berate him. She doesn't do a 180 and trust him again, that's not what happened. Also her being able to be manipulated. But he seemed nice, seemed trustworthy to her, used touchy subject to manipulate her, helped her practice magic again (good in her eyes, didn't know it's expression - magic from sacrifices)

2021-05-13 00:37:50 +0000 UTCOkay, so, this has been bothering me for a while, but why is everyone pretending like this is Damon's fault??? Klaus basically forced his hand. Damon decided to go along with it on the tail end, but it is not like he was planned this alongside Klaus. And everyone's like, you still trust Damon with Jeremy??? Damon,,, saved Jeremy and Matt's life. You can see that Elena was irritated/frustrated with Damon, so it is not like she was inclined to believe/trust him. I think people are being a little unfair to her, but hey. Regarding the compulsion, yeah, Stefan is stronger when it comes to that. I personally don't think it has anything to do with who loves Elena more or what love is stronger. In another reaction to this episode, I wrote this: Stefan was able to resist compulsion (which isn't technically true because he still did bite Elena) because he has been practicing control for over a century. With his very rigid diet, he has learned to control his instinctual need for human blood from the vein, because it’s something that he learned and built up over time. It’s similar to how Caroline’s father claimed to be able to resist compulsion as a human. Let’s say Shane too. They know how to be in control, to focus, to be very rigid and uncompromising in how they approach parts of their lives. With Stefan specifically, Lexi trained him and he was able to put the training into practice, for almost 150 years - the willpower he gained would, of course, be impressive. Damon, on the other hand, how often is he characterized as impulsive, reckless and out of control? He did his best to resist compulsion, but I’m pretty sure that’s why it manifested differently here. Damon has always given into his impulses. Stefan has spent the majority of his life as a vampire rejecting them. That’s the difference. And I would totally be on Stefan's side in the end there, if he wasn't full of crap.

2021-05-12 12:20:23 +0000 UTCthe ritual helps silas bring back dead people from the other side. a certain amount of people have to die, in groups of 12, for the ritual to be complete. first the 12 council members at the farm and then the 12 hybrids. that's why shane said to hayley "your parents are dead but they can come back" and to bonnie "what if you could see your grams again". shane doesn't care about the cure, he just wants to raise silas so silas can raise the dead from the other side, once the ritual is complete.
