Supernatural "We Need to Talk About Kevin" 8x1 Reaction

I agree with how others said Sam didn't even look for Dean but even if I was cool with that I'm never cool with him leaving Kevin with Crowley. Not checking his messages and seeing that Kevin had been reaching out. How messed up was that?

I HATED this weird storyline they gave Sam. Have the writers MET the Winchesters before cuz no way in HELL would Sam just accept from the get go that Dean is gone forever. It didn't even look like a death scene. Sam would have totally searched for Dean. That they wrote him as never even TRIED was just pure ridiculous out of character nonsense. I get why Dean's pissed. It makes no sense whatsoever and was just super hurtful.

It's cool. I guess it couldn't gone either way, either inferred by what they showed in this one or could be a little more than what might be good to say because the audience at this point wouldn't know if that stuff you said(I'm being purposely vague as to not give away same spoiler lol) would last an ep or 5 or till the end of the season etc.

The difference between Sam being "dead" was that he wasn't "dead" or "gone". Sam was back almost immediately and kept his existence from Dean a secret for almost a year. Of course we learn why Sam made that decision (lack of soul) so that's the big difference here, Dean accepted Sam being "gone" because it was supposed to be Supernatural's "endgame" but Dean vanishing with Dick Roman isn't enough to believe "Dean is gone and never coming back". Shitty move by Sam imo lol and Dean didn't "give up", he was still protecting his family and keeping tabs on the neighborhood as well as trying to get Sam back so idk what you're thinking about

Yeah they went to hell and came back but that was kinda different in the sense that when they were there it was hell and torture and they talked about it but didn't really show much where with this he was transported to purgatory and you already saw in this one that he basically had to spend they whole time alive fighting monsters. Also when it came to Sam living a life it was different when Sam died I don't know if you forgot but Dean said he spent along time researching and trying to find a way to get Sam back and was messed up about Sam being gone for a long time and then finds out that he was alive most of the time where here now Dean was missing after Dick died and Sam didn't even look for him or try to figure out if he could bring him back and then just kinda moved on. It's different.

Dean said in the episode that half sam’s numbers weren’t working so it implies that he finally managed to get a message through to Sam on one of them. (They usually have several different numbers.) and I remember watching this episode for the first time and wishing it was all set in purgatory too 😄 I think purgatory looks cool. 😁

When dean went to hell in season 3 and came back it was hell. This time he went to purgatory which is where monsters go when they die. He and cass ended up there when dick Roman exploded last season. And yes Benny who hitched a ride with dean to come to earth is a vampire.
