Alright -- super late, but this episode is too disappointing not to mention it. I Have Nothing is one of the top 3 powerhouse songs from Whitney and they not only don't have Mercedes sing it, but they give it to Kurt. Not that Kurt is a bad singer, but that was a fairly horrendous performance. It was very obviously too high for him and he was straining himself to keep up with it.

2021-05-20 05:32:28 +0000 UTCNotice Blaine keeps in contact with Sebastian by voice, in person and in texts. he states his texts were family friendly. And clearly Kurt hid his conversations. But what, we also know is that Blaine never told Kurt about any of the conversations and flirting that happened with Sebastian. Why is that any different. After four days and Kurt being told upfront how much this bothered Blaine, Kurt breaks all contact with Chandler. By the 2nd day when Kurt tells Blaine he doesn't like Sebastian, Blaine says he's harmless (the guy who had just earlier made himself available for cheating), and proceeds to spend the bulk of the night dancing with the guy who had right at the bar dissed Blaine boyfriend. And when Kurt again lets him know how hurt he is and how he feels about Sebastian, what does Blaine do? He tells Kurt Sebastian doesn't mean anything. And of course keeps in contact both by talking and by text, as well as speaking in person. And we know that Sebastian is still trying to hook up with him. We also know that Blaine doesn't tell Kurt about the flirting or the hookup offers, or how often they even keep in contact. As much as what Kurt did was absolutely wrong, Blaine is not innocent here. Now in fairness we get a hell of lot more context with Sebastian. With Chandler we have very little. The first talk (and only in person talk that we are made aware of or even talking over the phone) is an innocent talk about music and New York. After that we just hear 5 or 6 examples of texts from Chandler (we never hear what Kurt's replies are). With Sebastian, we have their first talk around the some of the other members of the Warblers, which is fairly innocent for what is stated, then we have a private chat at Dalton (with Sebastian absolutely flirting with Blaine) and they agree to meet for coffee later and talk with again more flirting from Sebastian and open offers of sex and keeping it secret from Kurt. By the Lima Bean encounter we hear Blaine mention Kurt, and that he doesn't want to hurt him, and that he really likes him. So thankfully we get that. But would Blaine ever even tell Kurt about this? He clearly didn't tell him about the details of either of their private talks. Nor did he tell him he meet a new warbler and was going to meet him for coffee. And again if Sebastian hadn't already been openly flirting with him, then no biggie. But he was openly flirting with him. Now we do know that Blaine doesn't flirt back. We don't know what any of Kurt's replies stated. The only thing we can be assured of is that Kurt didn't say stop texting me and leave me alone. But what's very interesting is that while Blaine reads Chandler's texts, he never reads Kurts replies. So was Kurt egging Chandler along, flirting back, or just getting a thrill from the attentions of someone else, and not stopping them like he should have? We don't know. W e also have no knowledge if Kurt does or doesn't ever mention Blaine or that he has a boyfriend, again we hear no side of Kurt's replies.

2021-05-16 06:40:16 +0000 UTCSeriously Kurt is right in every situation? Seriously. Do you honestly think the point of him trying to hurt Rachel's chance with Finn, was designed for him to be right? How about the numerous times he hit on Finn? Was that designed to make him the one who was correct? THere isn't a single character that I can think of that is shown not to be flawed on this show, and that absolutely includes Kurt. Hell in this episode its shown by several people that what Kurt was doing was wrong. Blaine also did wrong, and its not a perfect comparison, but the show is very clear about it. And yes the show also makes a point (though its Glee so...how successful that message is) is that while Kurt was wrong in what he was doing, Blaine was also wrong in failing to tell his partner about what was bothering him. And Blaine mentions that (in reverse) that Kurt could have also talk to him about his insecurities about the attention Blaine gets, The show has in one episode showed both characters making mistakes and pointing it out to them that they are. It absolutely isn't saying Kurt you didn't do anything at all wrong, and that you are always right.

Just because Blaine wanted to be friends with Sebastian doesn’t mean he accepted his advances. He didn’t even flirt with him at all and straight up told him he had a bf. And he said the texts were family friendly. Kurt’s were clearly not, and the fact that he refused to show Blaine them himself proves what Rachel said- that the texts aren’t so innocent

And find some adult friends. Hire a band? Idk, it's really not that serious to me. Like, I know he cares about them, but for a teacher to be this attached to students, is a bit,,, weird. Also Kurt is 100% wrong here, but of course, they make it seem that Blaine was just emotional and angry because Kurt is leaving. Kurt WAS cheating with Chandler. The Sebastian situation was completely different. Blaine was not interested in Sebastian romantically and he never accepted or entertained his advances. Kurt is actively flirting with this guy, and sending spicy texts back and forth non-stop. And Kurt is LOVING it.

I don’t think Blaine was in the wrong here at all - i think him and Sebastian wasn’t the same situation because he didn’t like Sebastian like that and, more importantly, Sebastian knew he had a boyfriend. Kurt didn’t tell Chandler he had a boyfriend.
