Not to mention all of the Michaelson kids as well. In season 3 Rebekah says that they were human (and witches cus their mom was) but you cant be a witch and a vampire at the some time. So that's a bunch of other white witches

Other than Damon, who is always going to own every bad thing he has ever done, everyone else pretends that they're so much better than the Originals and that they have morals. But they killed Chris to save Elena's life. We killed hundreds, if not thousands of other vampires, by killing Kol, to grow Jeremy's mark. They killed Finn, attempting to kill all of the Original family. Like, it makes perfect sense why Rebekah feels the way that she feels. I didn't mention this last episode, because Damon's "be bad with purpose speech" was ridiculed, but the majority of the bad things Damon has done, have been because of a master plan or have had heightened emotionality to it. But, the point is, he owns it. So does Klaus. And so does Rebekah. Stefan, Caroline, Jeremy and the like, claim to be good, but don't ever own up to their bad deeds as bad deeds. I think that is the difference.

Ultimately though, the show does cast doubt on their romance using characters for dramatic reasons, so it lets people who, if I may say quite plainly, aren't fans of the Damon/Elena relationship, actually have something to hold onto. But the lore itself has always been clear so, I'll stick with that.

2021-05-26 14:45:24 +0000 UTC- Shane's wife WAS a witch. The 'she' that Bonnie is related to is Qetsiyah, not Shane's wife. - The blood thing: SHANE is bleeding. Drops of blood let him hear her etc, but when he dropped and hurt himself and was bleeding it made it so he could see/hear/feel her. That's what he meant. - I do not understand why everyone (people watching the show, the characters in the show) act like Elena is suddenly gonna fall out of love with Damon if she's no longer sired to him. Just a few episodes ago it was made clear by Tyler that the sire bond does not affect how you feel, only how you act. Ergo her feelings are real? Ok your argument might be that a vampire sire bond works a bit differently but in that case please remember that she is only sired to him BECAUSE SHE LOVED HIM BEFORE SHE DIED. She loved him as a human. That's what the whole love triangle was about. If people mean that her super-in-love feelings might go away if not sired anymore, then ok that's a different argument and I could see it make sense (only time will tell, if/when the sire bond is broken) but people are acting like she will take the cure and be like EW Damon.

2021-05-26 06:03:34 +0000 UTCTyler knew Klaus wouldn’t let Caroline die because he was in love with her so leaving her to die in front him was the plan.....Rebekah is so over everybody, all the lies and deception her paranoia is well understood, her father was trash, Klaus treats her like trash, her loyalty to Klaus is never truly appreciated, then she’s always getting daggered her life has been pretty shitty Also I know Elena is a protagonist but she’s not a great protagonist in my opinion, all she does is judge people...and yes we know The Originals aren’t saints but neither are the Salvatore, I don’t hat her character though she just rubs me the wrong way sometimes lol

2021-05-26 05:49:08 +0000 UTCShane's wife is a witch and any and all races can be witches, Esther, The original witch isn't black, that one male witch Klaus had when he first came on in season 3 wasn't black. Also I always liked how the writers argue against Elena being as pure and innocent as she acts. This time with Rebekah and Before with Katherine and i don't think anyone could disagree, of course she's not as bad as those 2 but she's definitely not much better either. There are some gray spots in her character and I like how the show doesn't have a problem pointing them out.
