I was going to comment the same thing in regards to Carol. If you actually see how drastically Carol's personality changes, you can tell she is playing a role. This second half of Season 5 and first half of Season 6 are the best, and i can't wait until David sees this portion of the show. Rick is a savage, our whole group is the sh*t. Love this show and i am going to hate to see it end.

Carol knows how to take care of herself but once she got inside Alexandria "oh they take care of me" and pretending that the gun was to heavy for her to hand over. The show even replayed Rick's interview over at the end talking about measuring people and what people do to survive. Carol placed herself into the community and Rick is now Sheriff again both things allows them to move freely and take stock of everything. Rick is all about taking care of his family and some have already said they like it there so guess who would have to go?
