you're right this was a gap episode to sort of bridge the big louis bombshell to what's about to come in the last couple of episodes. I personally like s4 a lot, but it is not as good at structure as some other seasons, but other than that it's really really good. I personally would rank the seasons: S5 > S2 > S4 > S9 > S6 > S1 > S8 > S7
