Yes, I think I worded it badly. That is what I meant, that it got super intense as a result of his wife's murder

A much more intense version than Sheldon's, which Sharona (his assistant) mention this episode as being a direct result of the trauma from his wife's murder. This show is so sad but also so good and funny and now I wanna binge watch it all again lol. I FORGOT THAT GERARD ARGENT WAS IN THIS EPISODE!!! What a shock to see him! Monk accidentally using a dead man's arm to salute back was HILARIOUS. I haven't seen Monk for years so it was almost like seeing it again for the first time. I SNORTED. The "case wrap up/killer reveal" scene with Sharona and the gun is one of my core memories for some reason. This show just gets better and better! Really hoping you get to continue this, Brian. It was a kind of "crossover promos" for this and Psych when they were both airing at the same time, which you can find on YT and are super funny. The creator for Psych also wanted to do a crossover episode with Monk but it was just never feasible so it never happened. Maybe once you're done with Psych, Monk can be the replacement show?

Totally scared me into thinking I've missed 5 Monk reactions lol. I hope you'll continue with Monk. It's sadder than Psych but the humour is pretty good and it's quite brilliant.
