And look at that, he did both in this episode lol I know this is normal cop business and maybe I’m falling for the copaganda, but I liked how they all backed up Gideon, even though they thought what he was doing was batshit. And yes, Gideon carries a picture of a girl that he actually saved 20 years ago from an abduction. So, it makes sense why this case meant a lot to him. This show either has people we have seen or people we’ve never seen before. It’s more about the nature of the crime and the team solving it, than an audience whodunnit, even when we do see the unsub early on. Sometimes, they show who it is from the beginning - I think it’s whatever serves the story most!
