I think what i had to do was get a reading log from my teacher (you tell them you want to do the summer reading challenge) and i think i got to choose what books i wanted to read. Then i'd 'log' what books i read on the paper and my mom would sign off that i did read it And then when you go back to school, you get something like ice cream or whatever lol. This was in elementary school (like 4th grade?) so maybe that's why it's different. We never had to do summer reading in middle or high school. At least, not required. And I was in advance english classes and always got an A in that class, so.
