Matt is straight up trash! He is constantly acting like Caroline is a rebound and someone he could see himself being physical with but not serious with because he is still holding out for Elena. He doesnt defend Caroline when his mother trash talks her and then tells Caroline she needs to try harder to be nice to his horrible bi*** of a mother! He also spent the entire double date trying to stir feelings in Elena by reminiscing about all the good times they had together, then turns around and gaslights Caroline!

Kudos to you on that lol In terms of “There Goes the Neighborhood,” I’m pretty sure it was related to the Tomb Vampires being out and about and trying to assimilate into normal town life, infiltrating the locals. Also, I don’t think the vampire house took tons of civilians. I think that is the owner of the house that they took over, so they could have the protection of other vampires not being able to come in. The jackasses are drinking from her, but it’s clear that the other vamps like Pearl and Anna aren’t.
